Recruit Kraken-Chan and Surfer Jay in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
In *Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii*, you step into the pirate boots of Goro Majima, Captain of the Goro Pirates. Your journey across the seas involves recruiting a diverse crew, including Kraken-Chan and Surfer Jay. Here's how you can add these unique characters to your team.
How to Recruit Surfer Jay in Pirate Yakuza
Surfer Jay, a Pirate Recruit candidate found in Honolulu, is a valuable addition to your crew due to his high base stats. Recruiting him requires a bit more effort, but it's well worth it. To start, you'll need to sail to Madlantis to retrieve the essential item for his recruitment.
Once you dock at Madlantis, head to the tent directly across from the Madlantis Golf Range. Inside, you'll find the claw machine and arcade games. Look for the UFO Catcher Game, which should have a blue plush called "Kraken-Chan." If Kraken-Chan isn't available, speak to the attendant under the tent to request a change in the prizes.
Winning Kraken-Chan might take several tries, so ensure you have enough cash. The trick is to use the claw to nudge the plush until it falls into the prize slot. Once you've secured Kraken-Chan, sail back to Honolulu.
Upon arrival, head to the Anaconda Shopping Center's Tropical Coco. Use your mini-map to locate Surfer Jay, marked by a pirate symbol with a bandana and sword. You'll find him in a garage next to his surfboard. Engage in conversation with Jay, and he'll share his struggles with heartbreak and relationships.
When the opportunity arises, gift Kraken-Chan to Surfer Jay. This gesture will resolve his relationship issues and convince him to join your crew. While Surfer Jay doesn't offer exceptional stats or unique perks as a First Mate or Boarding Squad Leader, his recruitment is a must for completionists seeking to fully explore *Pirate Yakuza*.
And that's how you find Kraken-Chan and recruit Surfer Jay in *Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii*.
*Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii* is now available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
