How to Start Thrown to the Dogs in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

If you pre-ordered Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you'll have access to a special quest called Thrown to the Dogs. This quest becomes available once you gain control of Naoe and enter the open world for the first time.

To start, follow the quest marker on your map to find a dog. Then, follow the dog to a farm where you'll need to find a key hidden underneath a house. After locating the key, return to the grave site where the dog was initially found. By doing so, you'll befriend the dog, and the quest will be marked as completed.

If you struggle to find the key, look for a small crawlspace at the bottom of the house. Naoe can go prone and crawl into it to retrieve the key. This can be easy to miss, so keep an eye out.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Preorder Bonuses

Upon completing Thrown to the Dogs, you’ll receive your pre-order bonuses, which include:

• Tsuki-maru as a pet at the Hideout
• 1,000 XP

While the bonuses might seem modest, they have their perks. Tsuki-maru adds charm to your Hideout, and the 1,000 XP is significant in the early stages of the game. This XP boost will provide you with a few Mastery Points to experiment with, although you'll still need to increase your Knowledge to unlock more skills.
