Repair Broken Items in Sims 4: Blast from the Past

Feb 19,25

The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event presents players with rewarding yet challenging tasks. One particularly tricky challenge involves breaking and repairing an object. This guide outlines a straightforward method to accomplish this.

The Ambassador toilet, a key element in completing the repair challenge.

Week 2's challenge requires raising your Sim's Handiness skill to level 2 or higher, a relatively simple task. The difficulty lies in the subsequent requirement: repairing a broken object. Since the game doesn't highlight broken items, the easiest solution is to intentionally break one.

Instead of using the "prank" interaction (which requires specific Sim traits), repeatedly using an inexpensive item will eventually cause it to break. The Ambassador toilet is an ideal choice; its low cost makes it prone to malfunction. Using it approximately a dozen times will result in a water leak, signifying a broken object. This can be done by your Sim or invited guests.

Repairing the broken object is simple once your Handiness skill reaches level 2. Simply select the "Repair" interaction on the broken item. The repair process takes a few seconds, after which the toilet will be fixed, completing the Blast from the Past challenge.
