Revue Starlight Re LIVE Drops Gachapon Feature

Jan 02,25

Revue Starlight Re LIVE is officially shutting down. The mobile game, based on the popular anime, will cease operations on September 30th, 2024, at 07:00 UTC, ending nearly six years of service.

Why the Shutdown?

While initially a promising extension of the Revue Starlight anime, Revue Starlight Re LIVE struggled to maintain player engagement over the past five and a half years. Contributing factors include repetitive events, reused assets, and expensive battle passes. Furthermore, questionable plot developments, such as a sudden shift in narrative focus, further hampered the game's success. The closure affects the global player base, including Japan.

Positive Aspects

Despite its shortcomings, the game boasted a positive soundtrack featuring music from the anime, along with impressive 3D graphics and Live2D animations.

A Final Farewell?

Although the game's lifespan is nearing its end, players still have a few weeks to enjoy remaining content. Developers are launching several events in August and September, including a "Thank You For Everything" campaign offering ten free pulls daily and a two-month birthday celebration featuring "New Stage Girl Gacha" events. Download the game from the Google Play Store to experience these final events.
