According to journalist Jason Schreier, the acclaimed Rocksteady Studios is developing a new single-player Batman game. Details are scarce, with no confirmation whether it's a prequel, a sequel to the Arkham series, or a completely new universe. However, an insider claims it's a Batman Beyond trilogy, set in a futuristic Gotham City, destined for next-generation consoles.

The Arkham series was celebrated for its stunning visuals, and a futuristic Gotham could be Rocksteady's most impressive yet. The Batman Beyond setting also addresses the challenge of replacing the voice of the late Kevin Conroy. This shift might focus on Terry McGinnis or Damian Wayne, echoing Warner Bros. Montreal's plans for a canceled Arkham Knight sequel.
