Sony Bravia X93L Review by Jaron Schneider:
"The Sony X93L isn’t cheap, but it largely justifies its price with outstanding image quality, powered by top-tier processing that delivers an exceptional gaming experience."
Launched in March 2023, the Sony Bravia XR X93L ranks as the second highest-end non-OLED TV in Sony's lineup, only surpassed by the X95L, which was exclusively available in an 85" size in the United States. The X93L features Mini LED technology, renowned for its superior handling of HDR content. Mini LED backlighting consists of smaller, more numerous LEDs that can independently turn on and off, enhancing black levels and contrast ratios for a more dynamic viewing experience.
The X93L is also an excellent choice for gamers. It comes equipped with four HDMI ports, including two HDMI 2.1 ports that support 4K output at up to 120Hz refresh rates. This makes it ideal for next-generation consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. For the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, which will cap at 60fps in 4K when docked, HDMI 2.1 isn't necessary.
If you're using an Android smartphone, you'll appreciate the integration of the Google TV smart interface. It's user-friendly and effective, allowing you to use your Android device as a remote for added convenience.
