He stated, "Season 3 would take forever" to wrap up everything, and while there's a "decent chance" that Season 3 might be longer than Season 2, it's simply "not possible" to complete the entire story arc within just three seasons.

Mazin further elaborated, expressing optimism about the show's future: "Hopefully, we’ll earn our keep enough to come back and finish it in a fourth. That’s the most likely outcome."
