If you loved the original, you'll feel right at home—the core gameplay remains charmingly unchanged, but with even *cuter* cats (yes, we said it twice!).

The familiar pleasure of placing goodies and watching a parade of cats arrive is back. Neko Atsume 2 (meow!) retains that casual, collectible cat-collecting charm, but with some delightful additions.

What's New in Neko Atsume 2?

Neko Atsume 2 introduces a social element: you can now connect with friends, exchange codes, and visit each other's yards! This opens up the possibility of meeting even *more* unique cats. Another exciting addition is the Helpers—certain cats will assist you in managing your yard. Plus, there's the customizable Myneko, a mysterious special cat.

The Cat's Club is a subscription service offering extra perks (a free one-month trial is available!). Benefits include having up to three Mynekos and access to Aida, the Helper Cat. The newspaper feature replaces the daily password from the first game, giving you 10 silver fish.

How to Play Neko Atsume 2

The gameplay is simple: place snacks and toys in your virtual yard, wait a while, and watch the cats arrive! A wide variety of feline visitors—from common tabbies and calicos to rare breeds—will grace your yard. Each cat is logged in your Catbook, and over 40 different cat types are waiting to be discovered. You might need to experiment with different goodies to attract the rarer cats.

While there are fewer toys and decorations initially compared to the first game, more are promised in future updates. For now, you can get creative with items like the Tissue Box, Eco Bag, Baseball Ball, Gold Fish Statue, Cowboy Hat, and Temari Ball.
