Mariah Carey has arrived in Fortnite, launching the 2024 Winterfest event! To complete the Wintervestigation Quests, you'll need to find SGT. Winter. Here's how:

SGT. Winter's Location in Fortnite Chapter 6

The initial Wintervestigation Quest directs you to SGT. Winter. These quests involve teaming up with Noir to uncover clues and locate new NPCs. The quest tracker will pinpoint SGT. Winter's location—near a plane crash site atop a snowy mountain east of Warrior's Watch and south of Foxy Floodgate. It's close to Mariah Carey's in-game concert location.

Talking to SGT. Winter

SGT. Winter is an NPC near the plane wreckage, marked by a speech bubble icon. Interact with him; you can buy items (like the Holo Twister Assault Rifle or Blizzard Grenade) or initiate dialogue. Select the magnifying glass icon to begin the Wintervestigation conversation. He'll give you a new mission, sending you to Noir in Seaport City. Completion rewards 25,000 XP.

Surviving the Encounter

SGT. Winter's location is a popular drop zone. To increase your chances of survival:

• Strategic Landing: Aim for an early drop, landing directly on a chest within the plane wreckage for immediate loot and cover.
• Utilize Cover: The plane wreckage provides excellent cover.
• Early Engagement: Eliminate opponents quickly, many may only have pickaxes initially. A coordinated team greatly improves your odds.
• Buy Your Way Out: Purchase items from SGT. Winter; the Holo Twister Assault Rifle is a strong early-game weapon.
