Following a wave of fan speculation, Griffin directly addressed concerns, stating definitively, "Yes the game is real, progressing and will release." This marks the first substantial update on the game's status in over a year and a half. A previous rumor, involving a possible ARG or Nintendo Switch 2 announcement, was debunked by Griffin and another YouTuber.

A Long-Awaited Sequel

Initially unveiled in February 2019 with a projected release in the first half of 2023, Silksong's release was postponed in May 2023 due to the game's expanded scope and the developers' desire for further refinement. Team Cherry previously highlighted key features, including a new kingdom, nearly 150 new enemies, and a challenging "Silk Soul" mode.
