The Sims Franchise Celebrates 25 Years of Life Simulation!

The iconic life simulation game, The Sims, is turning 25! To mark this milestone, EA is throwing a massive party, complete with in-game events, a marathon livestream, and the highly anticipated return of the original titles.

A Quarter-Century of Fun and Freebies!

Get ready for a deluge of in-game goodies, including free items and exciting updates. A star-studded 25-hour livestream showcased the best of the Simmer community, featuring celebrities, streamers, and renowned builders. But the biggest news? The return of The Sims 1 and The Sims 2!

Kevin Gibson, The Sims Production Director, expressed gratitude to the dedicated fans, stating, "Our incredible players have shown us that no one does life like The Sims...this is our way of saying thank you."

The Sims 1 & 2: A Nostalgic Comeback

For the first time in almost a decade, the original The Sims and The Sims 2, including all their DLC, are available for purchase on Steam and the EA store. Available individually or as a Birthday Bundle, these remastered versions are optimized for modern PCs, eliminating compatibility issues that plagued previous attempts to play these classics.

Celebrating in The Sims 4 and FreePlay

The Sims 4's "Blast From The Past" event brings back iconic items from earlier games, including retro furniture, clothing, and decor. New items will be released weekly over four weeks. Meanwhile, The Sims FreePlay's Birthday Update includes new Live Events ("The One with the Coffee Shop" and "Reality Island"), a velour tracksuit, daily gifts, and a museum showcasing the franchise's history.
