Sizzlipede Debuts at Pokémon Go's Bug Out Event
The much-anticipated Bug Out event is making its return to Pokémon Go, promising an exhilarating experience filled with Bug-type Pokémon and the debut of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch. Mark your calendars for March 26th to 30th, as this event is brimming with wild encounters, raids, bonuses, and exciting new challenges that will keep you engaged throughout.
Lure Modules will be your best friend during the Bug Out event. Not only will they attract Sizzlipede, but they'll also increase the number of Pokémon appearing at a PokéStop if enough are caught using a single Lure Module. This is your chance to maximize your encounters and make the most out of the event.
You'll also enjoy double XP and extra Candy for Nice Throws or better, with an increased chance of earning Candy XL for trainers level 31 and above. If you're on the hunt for Shiny Pokémon, you'll have better odds of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede, adding an extra layer of excitement to your adventure.
The wild will be teeming with Bug-types, with frequent appearances from Pokémon like Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. Keep your eyes peeled, as you might even encounter the elusive Cutiefly.
Sizzlipede will be featured in one-star raids alongside Scyther and Nincada, while Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor will dominate the three-star raids. Completing event-themed Field Research tasks will reward you with Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon, making every task a step closer to your goals.
Don't miss out on the free Timed Research opportunity, which includes encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, along with a Lure Module. For those looking for extra rewards, the Paid Timed Research option ($2 or local equivalent) offers encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, plus two Premium Battle Passes and an additional Lure Module.
New Collection Challenges will reward you with Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters, while PokéStop Showcases will highlight event-themed Pokémon. And don't forget to check out the in-game shop for the new Sizzlipede Boots and a Scolipede Jacket to complete your Bug Out look.
