Iconic Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other games, was discovered "barely alive" in his hotel room last week. His family is now seeking support from fans during this challenging time.

According to PC Gamer, Johnson's wife, Kim, and other relatives have launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for medical expenses and to help cover living costs while he is unable to work. The page states, "Right now, Wes continues to battle for his life in an intensive care unit."

Originally scheduled to host a benefit event for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation in Atlanta on January 22, Johnson failed to appear. After his wife attempted to contact him, hotel security entered his room and found him unconscious. Emergency responders struggled to detect a pulse.

The GoFundMe campaign initially aimed to raise $50,000, but contributions have soared past expectations, reaching $144,791 from 2,200 supporters. Beyond his video game work, Johnson has been the public address announcer for the Washington Capitals for 25 years and has appeared in various films and TV shows. His extensive video game portfolio includes voicing notable characters such as Ron Hope in Starfield, Sheogorath in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fawkes in Fallout 3, and many others in Bethesda titles.
