Soul Tide Is the Latest Gacha Game to Announce Its EOS

Mar 18,25

Soul Tide, the enchanting dungeon crawler from IQI Games and LemcnSun Entertainment, is nearing its end. After two years and ten months since its global mobile launch, the developers have announced the game's End of Service (EOS).

Soul Tide's End of Service Date

The final curtain falls on February 28th, 2025. Effective immediately, Soul Tide is no longer available for download on the Play Store, and all in-app purchases are disabled. Any remaining in-game resources should be used before the shutdown, as all game data will be permanently deleted.

Before the servers go dark, however, a final content update is planned to give long-time players a memorable send-off. Details will be revealed soon; follow the official X account for the latest updates.

A Look Back at Soul Tide

Soul Tide offered a unique blend of gameplay mechanics: turn-based dungeon crawling, anime girl collection, home simulation, and even elements of dating sim and roguelite genres. Originally launched in Japan in 2021, the game was set in a fantasy world ravaged by witches. Its storybook-inspired visuals and engaging gameplay initially garnered positive reviews.

Unlike many gacha games where characters are merely functional, Soul Tide’s characters possessed depth and personality. However, challenges arose over time, including less-than-ideal gacha rates, a somewhat clunky user interface, and occasional translation inconsistencies. These factors ultimately contributed to the game's decline.

While the game is nearing its end, you can still access Soul Tide on the Google Play Store, if you wish to utilize any remaining resources.
