Square Enix Unveils End-of-Service Date for Romancing SaGa Re:universe

Dec 26,24

Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. While the Japanese version continues, this marks the end of a four-year run for the global release, launched in June 2020.

Two Months Remain

In-app purchases and Google Play Points exchanges have already ceased following the September 29th, 2024 maintenance. Players have until December to enjoy the game's final two months of service.

The global version, despite stunning visuals, a strong soundtrack, and a generous gacha system, received a mixed reception. Unlike its successful Japanese counterpart, the global version lacked significant content updates like Solistia and 6-star units, a year-long absence that disappointed many.

A Trend of Closures?

This closure follows Square Enix's shutdowns of Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile titles earlier this year.

Romancing SaGa Re:universe is a classic turn-based RPG based on the SaGa series. Whether you're a longtime fan or a curious newcomer, there are two months left to experience this title before its servers go offline. Download it now from the Google Play Store.
