After a small leak last week, EA has officially announced the title of its upcoming Star Wars game: Star Wars: Zero Company. This exciting new addition to the Star Wars gaming universe is being developed by Bit Reactor, with collaborative support from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn.

While details are still scarce, we know that Star Wars: Zero Company will be a "single-player turn-based tactics game". Fans won't have to wait long for more information, as EA has promised a first look at the game during Star Wars Celebration in Japan on April 19.

Bit Reactor, the studio behind Zero Company, is a newly-formed strategy game developer established in 2022. The team is comprised of industry veterans who have worked on acclaimed titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. Although it was known that Bit Reactor was collaborating with Respawn on a Star Wars project, this is the first time we've received concrete details about the game.

Respawn's role in the development of Zero Company remains somewhat ambiguous. The studio has faced significant challenges recently, including the cancellation of its own Star Wars FPS project a year ago, alongside mass layoffs at EA, and the termination of another multiplayer FPS project just last month.

For those eager to learn more, EA will unveil additional details about Star Wars: Zero Company at a live panel on Saturday, April 19 at 4:30pm local time in Japan. For fans in the U.S., that translates to 12:30am PT and 3:30am ET, so be sure to set your alarms accordingly.
