In a recent update from Rebel Wolves, developers of the vampire RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker, we get a closer look at Swartrow, the isolated capital of Sangor Valley. The game's focus on silver is highlighted, explaining the unusual choice of location for this seemingly remote settlement.

Dominating the landscape are the imposing Graifberg Castle and a majestic cathedral, perched dramatically atop the valley's jagged cliffs. This isolated location, miles from any other human settlement, begs the question: why here?

The answer, quite literally, lies in the mountains. Rich veins of silver run through them, attracting settlers like a beacon. The constant, rhythmic clang of pickaxes echoing from numerous mine entrances throughout the rocky hillsides paints a vivid picture of Swartrow's industry. This relentless mining operation is the heart of the settlement.

Graifberg Castle features prominently, appearing within the first minute of the January 2025 trailer, hinting at its importance in the game's narrative. The update confirms silver mining as the primary driver of Swartrow's existence, further emphasizing the lore surrounding silver's protective properties against vampires—making it both a valuable resource and a crucial weapon in this dark world.

While Rebel Wolves hasn't yet revealed a release date, The Blood of Dawnwalker is slated for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
