The Nintendo Switch 2 edition of Hogwarts Legacy delivers enhanced graphics, quicker loading speeds, and introduces innovative mouse controls.

As showcased in a new comparison trailer, the Switch 2 version eliminates loading screens when entering or exiting Hogsmeade - allowing seamless transitions between locations that weren't possible in the original release.

The upgrade goes beyond just loading times. Switch 2 players will experience improved frame rates, higher-resolution textures, enhanced shadows, and richer color grading throughout Hogwarts and its surrounding areas - all visible in the trailer below:

The new mouse controls remain somewhat mysterious. While Warner Bros. hasn't revealed specifics, we speculate they might revolutionize spell-casting mechanics.

Following Nintendo's upgrade policy, existing Hogwarts Legacy owners on Switch can upgrade to the enhanced version for just $10.

Set in the magical 1800s wizarding world, Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive open-world RPG where players begin as fifth-year students. The adventure includes exploring iconic locations, encountering magical creatures, potion-making, spell mastery, talent development, and deep character customization - arriving on Nintendo Switch 2 at launch on June 5.
