The beloved RPG adventure management game, *The Tale of Food*, featuring charming personified dishes, is set to close its doors. Initially launched for a closed beta in China in September 2019 and later distributed by Tencent Games, the game has captured the hearts of many players around the globe. As the end approaches, here's everything you need to know about the shutdown of *The Tale of Food*.

When Is the The Tale of Food Shutdown?

The game, where players could command an army of handsome, personified dishes, is scheduled to shut down on March 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8). As of February 18th, 2025, in-game purchases have been disabled. Additionally, new player registrations have been halted from this date, and the game has been removed from the Google Play Store. However, if you have already downloaded the game, you can continue to play until the servers close on March 20th.

What About the Jewels Collected in the Game?

If you purchased any jewels between January 9th and February 18th, 2025, you are eligible for a refund. To claim your refund, reach out to in-game support or email the developers before March 20th. For more details on the terms and conditions of the shutdown, visit the official X account of *The Tale of Food*.

It's worth noting that the Japan server of the game was the first to close in April 2023, followed by the China server in June 2024. Now, the global version is next in line for closure.

As your journey as the Food God's child, managing a realm filled with dumplings and suave seafood, comes to an end, the official X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Discord communities will remain active. This means there will still be a place for fans to gather, reminisce, and share their memories of the game.
