Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their beloved sandbox game, Teardown. They've announced plans to introduce a much-anticipated multiplayer mode, alongside the release of a new expansion called the Folkrace DLC. This DLC is set to enrich the single-player experience with new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges. Players will have the opportunity to compete in a variety of events, earn rewards, and customize their vehicles to excel on the tracks.

The multiplayer update will initially be available on Steam's Experimental Branch, allowing players early access to test this new feature. Tuxedo Labs is keen to receive feedback, particularly from the modding community, as they are also planning updates to the game’s API. These updates will enable modders to adapt their creations for use in multiplayer settings.

The introduction of multiplayer has been a long-term goal for the Tuxedo Labs team and a highly requested feature by the game's community. This announcement signifies the fulfillment of that vision.

Upon launch, the multiplayer mode will be accessible through the "Experimental" branch on Steam, giving players a chance to experience the new mode firsthand. Concurrently, the team will roll out API updates to support modders, ensuring that existing mods can seamlessly integrate into multiplayer environments. Once the testing phase concludes, multiplayer will become a staple feature of Teardown.

Looking forward, Tuxedo Labs has teased that two additional major DLCs are in development, with more details to be revealed later in 2025. This commitment to expanding and enhancing Teardown demonstrates the studio's dedication to delivering a rich and evolving gaming experience.
