George R.R. Martin recently announced the upcoming illustrated edition of A Feast for Crows, the fourth book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series to receive this special treatment. Illustrated by Jeffrey R. McDonald, the book is slated for release on November 4, 2025.

Pre-orders are now open at major online retailers including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Target. This release marks a significant event for collectors, as the last illustrated edition (A Storm of Swords) was published in November 2020.

The Winds of Winter – Still a Mystery

While this news is exciting for many, fans eagerly awaiting The Winds of Winter remain in suspense. Martin's December 2024 interview hinted at the possibility of never completing the series, despite having written 1100 pages as of November 2023. It appears the illustrated editions of the first five books may be completed before The Winds of Winter sees publication.
