Tides of Annihilation, drawing inspiration from Arthurian legend, casts players as Gwendolyn, a young woman battling alongside spectral knights to rescue her family and mend a fractured world.

The game unfolds in a ravaged, modern-day London, overrun by a mysterious otherworldly invasion. Gwendolyn and her team confront relentless enemy hordes in the game's battle-scarred streets. Giant, menacing knights roam London, posing the primary threat. Players must overcome these colossal foes through daring climbs and intense, close-quarters combat.

While visually impressive, the game currently lacks a compelling narrative hook. Recent soulslike games successfully reimagine classic tales; "Journey to the West" offered a fresh perspective to Western audiences, and "Lies of P" provided a unique twist on Pinocchio. However, the King Arthur narrative feels overused and familiar. Despite its visual splendor, Tides of Annihilation unfortunately lacks the originality to truly captivate.
