This month, we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, the final chapter in the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. Released on May 19, 2005, it marked the last Star Wars film directed by George Lucas before he sold Lucasfilm to Disney in 2012.

Fans anticipated the transformation of Anakin Skywalker into Darth Vader, but the fate of the other Jedi remained a significant mystery. The film introduced Order 66, a sinister plot by Palpatine, where Clone Troopers, who had previously fought alongside the Jedi during the Clone Wars, suddenly turned against them, executing them on command. Given the vast number of Jedi—thousands in service—it was logical to assume that some would evade Palpatine’s grasp, beyond just the few we knew had to survive for the Original Trilogy.

Among the numerous Order 66 survivors introduced in various canon Star Wars narratives, we've compiled a list ranking the top 10 who've left a significant mark. Some survived only briefly post-Order 66, while others persisted much longer, and in certain instances, their ultimate fates remain a mystery. All these Jedi, however, lived to fight another day after Palpatine's chilling decree, "Execute Order 66."

The criteria for this list stipulate that the characters must have been part of the Jedi Order prior to Order 66, holding ranks such as Padawan, Jedi Knight, Jedi Master, or even Jedi Initiate. Therefore, characters like Maul and his former master, Palpatine, are excluded, as are those who never officially joined the Jedi Order, such as Jod Na Nawood, despite receiving some Jedi training.

A notable case was Asajj Ventress, who was trained by Jedi Ky Narec on Rattatak and referred to as his Padawan. However, since she never visited Coruscant or met the Jedi Council, and later turned to the Dark Side under Dooku, her status as a Jedi is ambiguous. Thus, she's considered an honorable mention.
