New Pokémon in Pokémon Sleep: Catch Sneasel and Weavile!

Pokémon fans rejoice! New Pokémon have arrived in Pokémon Sleep. As of December 3rd, 2024, Sneasel and Weavile are now available to befriend. This guide will show you how.

Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile

Given their dual Ice/Dark typing in the main series, you might expect Sneasel and Weavile in a snowy location. In Pokémon Sleep, they appear at Snowdrop Tundra. However, they are classified as Dark-type Pokémon in this game, lacking dual typing.

Conveniently, they also appear on Greengrass Isle, making them accessible to all players, regardless of game progression. If you're on a different island and eager to encounter them, use an EZ Travel Ticket to switch your research location.

Sleep Types

Both Sneasel and its evolution, Weavile, are Dozing-type Pokémon. To increase your chances of encountering them, ensure your sleep type for the night is also Dozing.

Sneasel is easier to find during Sleep Research. Evolving it into Weavile requires 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. However, you'll still need to encounter Weavile in the wild for Sleep Research data.

Are They Worth It?

Sneasel's value lies in its berry gathering capabilities. As a Dark-type, it collects Wiki Berries, particularly useful in Snowdrop Tundra. It also provides an "Extra Tasty" boost to your dishes. Its ingredient requirements include sought-after items, making a well-equipped Sneasel a valuable addition to your team.
