Pokemon GO's GO Tour: Unova Event to Feature Black and White Kyurem

Get ready, Pokemon GO trainers! The highly anticipated Black and White Kyurem are finally arriving in Pokemon GO as part of the global GO Tour: Unova event, scheduled for March 1st and 2nd. This exciting event will allow players to encounter these legendary Pokemon in raids, with a chance to catch their shiny forms. The event also offers special in-game backgrounds inspired by the classic Pokemon Black and White games.

Black and White Kyurem's arrival has been a long-awaited moment for many fans. Their potential to significantly impact the game's competitive landscape has fueled anticipation. While a surprise early release occurred in 2023, their official inclusion in the GO Tour: Unova event confirms their permanent addition to the game's roster.

The GO Tour: Unova event, running from 10 AM to 6 PM local time on March 1st and 2nd, will be the primary opportunity to catch these powerful Pokemon. Players will encounter Black and White Kyurem in raids, offering a chance to obtain both standard and shiny versions.

Fusion Frenzy:

Similar to last year's Necrozma fusion, players can fuse Kyurem with other legendary Pokemon:

• Black Kyurem: Fuse with Zekrom using 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy. This fusion will grant the unique attack, Freeze Shock.
• White Kyurem: Fuse with Reshiram using 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy. This fusion will learn the attack, Ice Burn.

Fusion energy is earned by defeating Kyurem in raids. The fused forms are temporary, and separating the Pokemon is free.

Event Bonuses:

Two special backgrounds, themed after Pokemon Black and White, will be available during the event. Successfully fusing either Black or White Kyurem will unlock one background, with a unique third background awarded for completing both fusions.
