A fan-made remaster of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas addresses shortcomings in the official version. Due to ongoing interest in the classic game, Shapatar XT created a comprehensive remaster incorporating 51 modifications.

Graphical enhancements extend beyond simple texture upgrades. Shapatar XT tackled the infamous "flying trees" issue by optimizing map loading, providing players with earlier visibility of obstacles. Improved vegetation further enhances the visual experience.

Several mods enrich the game's world, adding environmental details like scattered litter and more dynamic NPCs. These NPCs engage in activities like car repair, while the airport features taking-off aircraft. Improved signage, graffiti, and other textural elements add realism.

Gameplay improvements include a new over-the-shoulder shooting camera, realistic recoil effects, revamped weapon sounds, and bullet hole physics. CJ's arsenal boasts updated weapon models, and he can now freely fire in all directions while driving.

A first-person perspective option is available, complete with detailed vehicle interiors (including a visible steering wheel) and realistic weapon handling animations.

A custom car mod pack, featuring a Toyota Supra among others, adds to the visual appeal. These cars include functional headlights, taillights, and animated engines.

Numerous quality-of-life improvements are included. For example, the in-store clothing selection process is streamlined, eliminating lengthy animations. CJ can now instantly change outfits. The protagonist himself also received a model update.
