Vinland Tales: A New Isometric Survival Game from Colossi Games

Colossi Games, creators of popular titles like Gladiators: Survival in Rome and Daisho: Survival of a Samurai, have launched their latest casual survival game, Vinland Tales. This new title transports players to the frozen north, where they assume the role of a Viking leader establishing a colony in a harsh, unfamiliar land.

The gameplay will feel familiar to fans of Colossi's previous work. Featuring an isometric perspective and low-poly graphics, Vinland Tales maintains a relatively casual approach to survival mechanics. Players will focus on building their colony, managing their clan, and gathering resources to ensure their survival.

Beyond the core survival elements, Vinland Tales offers a wealth of additional features including minigames, guilds, talent trees, quests, and dungeons, providing ample content. Cooperative play is also available, allowing players to team up with friends to conquer the challenges together.

A Rapid Release Cycle?

One potential concern is Colossi Games' rapid release schedule. While the studio is clearly aiming for variety by exploring different settings and time periods, this approach might compromise the depth of each game. Whether Vinland Tales can carve out a significant niche or will ultimately feel too shallow remains to be seen.
