Following the success of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Koei Tecmo introduces a fresh take on the musou genre with the launch of Warriors: Abyss today. This new roguelite game features iconic characters from the Warriors series and promises an engaging experience with its unique twist.

Showcased during today's PlayStation State of Play, Warriors: Abyss allows players to form a squad and battle through hordes of enemies in an isometric view, drawing inspiration from games like Diablo and Hades. Players will navigate through the depths of "hell," facing off against demonic foes with familiar faces such as Zhou Yu, Nobunaga Oda, and Sunshang Xiang leading the charge.

According to the PlayStation Blog, players can recruit characters and expand their team, utilizing up to seven active heroes in combat. At launch, a roster of 100 warriors will be available, and Koei Tecmo has plans to introduce additional characters over time, starting with figures from the Jin kingdom in Dynasty Warriors. The developer hinted at future updates that may include characters from beyond the Warriors universe.

Warriors: Abyss is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It will also be released on Nintendo Switch on February 13, 2025. Players interested in the in-game Dynasty Warriors Costume Set should grab the game before March 14, 2025.
