The Last Knight is a charming side quest in the Rinascita region of Honkai: Star Rail's Wuthering Waves update. While not as epic as the main storyline, it offers a refreshing glimpse into life beyond Ragna City and boasts some worthwhile rewards. This quest is significantly shorter and less demanding than others in Wuthering Waves, making it a quick and enjoyable diversion. Here's a concise walkthrough.

Starting The Last Knight Quest

To begin, you must complete Chapter 2 of the main storyline, specifically the "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing" quest. We highly recommend finishing Chapter 2 Act 3 before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests are locked until then. Once completed, head to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven and locate Cosimo. He's near the first house along the main road, easily identifiable by a blue quest marker.

The Night Reveries

This part involves a performance dedicated to a legendary knight. To participate, you must defeat the Mad Knight. This enemy only appears at night (18:00 to 06:00). Find him at the town's central pool. He's not particularly challenging; use your strongest attacks.

The Last Knight: Mimic Chests

After defeating the Mad Knight, fly to the tallest tower and then to Carlow's location (marked on your map). He'll be unconscious near a large purple flower. Touching the flower transports you to an area with several chests. The first three are safe. In the next set, only the second chest (middle-left) is real; the others are mimics. Open it for Astrites and other rewards, but be prepared to fight off the mimics afterward.

The Knight's Trail and The Strange Scent

Next, you'll visit two locations associated with the Mad Knight, following quest markers and interacting with NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby mentions a strange smell. Follow the marker uphill to encounter a unique Chop Chop with invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. Using a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot is highly recommended, as it allows you to parry and stun the Chop Chop effectively. Defeating it reveals the truth about the legendary knight.

Find Carlow

Return to Egla Town (during the day) and find Carlow in a town plaza. He'll be confronted by knights. His response concludes the quest, rewarding you with Union XP, Astrites, and resources. The Last Knight quest will be marked as complete.
