In Wuthering Waves, explore Thorncrown Rises and encounter Botim south of the Rinascita-Ragunna-Thessaleo Fells northern Resonance Beacon. He'll explain his family's ancestral site, guarded by a mysterious "Terminal," and plagued by shadowy monsters that periodically emerge from three towers. He offers rewards for clearing these towers, initiating the Shadow of the Past quest.

Thorncrown Rises Three Towers Locations In Wuthering Waves

Thorncrown Rises holds three towers, each a part of the Shadow of the Past quest, divided into three sub-quests:

• Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise: The northeastern tower.
• Shadow of the Towers: Twilight Rise: The southern tower.
• Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise: The southwestern tower.

Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise

Find the Resounding Rise tower northeast of Thorncrown Rises. Speak to Itzel east of the tower to begin. Explore the tower as follows:

1. Interact with the painting at the hallway's end to enter.
2. Follow the quest marker to find and defeat the Abyssal Mercator. Claim the northern Basic Supply chest.
3. Locate and claim the Supply chest in the western room.
4. Proceed to the eastern room, enter the second painting, and defeat the Abyssal Mercator again. Claim the Supply chests in both eastern and western rooms.
5. Head north, follow the quest marker, defeat the Abyssal Mercator, and interact with the painting behind it.
6. Open the chest at the hallway's end to stop the shooting enemies and defeat the blocking enemy.

Next, correctly arrange the paintings:

1. Move the top-left painting to the bottom-right display.
2. Move the painting behind the top-left display to the bottom-left display.
3. Move the top-right painting to the top-left display.
4. Move the painting behind the bottom-right display to the top-right display.
5. Claim the Premium Supply chest.

Finally, interact with the painting, defeat the final Abyssal Mercator, speak to Itzel, and claim the Tidal Supply chest. This weakens one Command Rise Tower barrier.

Shadow of the Towers: Twilight Rise

After the Resounding Rise, head southeast to the Twilight Rise tower and speak to Insula to enter. Follow the quest marker until you encounter a loop; Insula will appear. Then:

1. Investigate the three marked spots.
2. Speak to Insula.
3. Enter the secret passage under the elevator.
4. Defeat the Abyssal Patricius.
5. Claim the Supply chest and continue following the quest marker.
6. Defeat the Abyssal Patricius again.
7. Speak to Insula again.
8. Collect the Tidal Supply chest.

This completes the Twilight Rise quest and weakens the second Command Rise Tower barrier.

Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise

Completing the previous two quests automatically triggers the Command Rise sub-quest. Here's what to do:

1. Go to the camp northeast of the Command Rise Tower and speak to Insula and Itzel.
2. Use the Wingray northwest of the beach to fly to the tower.
3. Enter the tower and follow the quest marker.
4. Collect the Supply chest west of the moving libraries.
5. Use the Grapple to climb up.
6. Collect the Basic Supply chest between the jars, then defeat the enemies for another Supply chest.
7. Follow the quest marker to face the Abyssal Patricius.
8. Claim the chest and use the Grapple to climb further.

Use the Grapple to pull out more libraries, reaching higher ground. Explore for Supply chests; two Sonance Caskets: Ragunna are inside. Use the chandelier mechanism to reach the top. Find Liel dead, speak to Insula and Itzel, and use the portal to reach the Abyssal Patricius. Defeat it for the Call of the Abyss Rectifier and a Premium Supply chest.

Exiting via the portal and speaking to Insula and Itzel awards the King of Thessaleo and Shadow of the Tower achievements.
