Microsoft has unveiled the date for its next Xbox Developer Direct: January 23rd, 2025. This marks the third annual showcase event, kicking off the year's gaming announcements. The event will stream on YouTube and Twitch at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT, following previous rumors of a January announcement.
Confirmed Games and Highlights:
The showcase will feature a trio of anticipated titles:
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: A turn-based RPG from Sandfall Interactive, slated for a 2025 release and confirmed as a day-one Xbox Game Pass title.
- Doom: The Dark Ages: id Software's latest entry in the Doom franchise, initially revealed in June 2024 and showcased at QuakeCon 2024. A mid-2025 launch is currently speculated.
- South of Midnight: A stylish action-adventure game from Compulsion Games (creators of Contrast and We Happy Few), initially announced in June 2023. A release date is expected.
While these three games are confirmed, past Developer Directs have lasted over 40 minutes and included multiple game reveals.
