Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Games and Departures

Microsoft has unveiled the first Xbox Game Pass additions for 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and revealing the games leaving the service this month. The January lineup offers a diverse selection, catering to various tastes, with some titles exclusive to specific Game Pass tiers.

New Arrivals:

Microsoft's January 7th announcement via the official Xbox blog detailed seven new games joining the service. Road 96, a narrative adventure game, is immediately available across all tiers, including PC Game Pass. Its return follows a previous stint on the platform. The remaining six games arrive later in the month:

• Road 96: Available Now (All Tiers)
• Lightyear Frontier (Preview): January 8 (Standard & Ultimate)
• My Time at Sandrock: January 8 (Standard & Ultimate)
• Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders: January 8 (Standard & Ultimate)
• Rolling Hills: January 8 (Standard & Ultimate)
• UFC 5: January 14 (Ultimate Only)
• Diablo: January 14 (Ultimate & PC Game Pass)

Note that Diablo and UFC 5 are exclusive to Game Pass Ultimate and/or PC Game Pass subscribers. Lightyear Frontier, a sci-fi title, remains in early access.

Alongside the new games, several Game Pass Ultimate perks launched January 7th, including weapon charms and DLC for popular titles like Apex Legends, First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.

Departures:

Six games are leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 15th, as previously hinted at in Xbox app updates:

• Exoprimal
• Figment
• Insurgency Sandstorm
• Those Who Remain

This initial January lineup is just the beginning; further announcements for the latter half of the month and beyond are anticipated soon.
