A “Yakuza Wars” trademark filed by Sega was made public today on August 5, 2024, and has since sparked a flurry of speculation among fans. The trademark, filed under Class 41 (Education and entertainment), pertains to a product for home video game consoles, among other goods and services.
The filing date was July 26, 2024. Details on this potential project remained undisclosed, and Sega has not formally announced a new Yakuza title yet. Known for its gripping narratives and packed gameplay, Yakuza has garnered a dedicated fan base eager for new content, espcially during a booming period for the franchise.
