However, Nintendo has since updated its website, providing clarity on the matter. While the page for Donkey Kong Bananza has removed any mention of cloud saves, the disclaimer for Tears of the Kingdom has been revised to read: "Save data created in the second save data slot in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition cannot be transferred to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on Nintendo Switch."

This updated disclaimer should alleviate concerns among Switch 2 owners. It indicates that players will be able to transfer their saves from the original Switch version of Tears of the Kingdom to the Switch 2, but transferring saves from the Switch 2 back to the original Switch will not be possible, as reported by Eurogamer.

Similarly, the page for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition has been updated with the same message, indicating a consistent approach to save data transfers across these titles.
