Mattel163 is enhancing its popular card games for greater inclusivity with a game-changing update: Beyond Colors. This feature makes UNO! Mobile, Phase 10: World Tour, and Skip-Bo Mobile more accessible to the estimated 300 million people worldwide affected by color blindness.

What is Beyond Colors?

Beyond Colors replaces traditional card colors with distinct shapes—squares, triangles, and others—allowing all players to easily differentiate cards. This thoughtful update significantly improves gameplay for colorblind individuals.

Enabling Beyond Colors is simple. In Phase 10: World Tour, Skip-Bo Mobile, and UNO! Mobile, access your in-game avatar, go to account settings, and enable the Beyond Colors deck within the card theme options.

Mattel163 collaborated with colorblind gamers throughout the development of Beyond Colors, ensuring the new symbols are both effective and user-friendly. This initiative reflects Mattel's broader commitment to accessibility, with a goal of making 80% of its games colorblind-accessible by 2025.

The development process involved color vision deficiency experts and the global gaming community. The team explored various solutions, including patterns, tactile cues, and symbols, to ensure color wasn't the sole method of card identification.

The shapes used in Beyond Colors are consistent across all three games (Phase 10: World Tour, Skip-Bo Mobile, and UNO! Mobile), ensuring a seamless experience for players. Download these games today from the Google Play Store and experience the difference!
