When a modern army time-travels to conquer the world a millennium early, they find their primitive adversaries offer more than they expected! Lead a global resistance with hundreds of warriors from diverse cultures. Take direct control of a single hero or step back to command entire armies with a swipe. This game masterfully blends grand strategy with hands-on, interactive battles for the ultimate experience. And just when you think the conflict is over, history may be poised to repeat itself...
UPGRADES
While the core game is free, optional upgrades let you tailor your campaign—choose your faction and starting territory size. You can also unleash fantasy clashes between any two cultures with as many warriors as your device can handle! For added depth, you can customize every character in the world—though please note the game dynamically manages up to 1,000 characters at once.
CONTROLS
When controlling an individual unit, choose between the one-handed "Classic" scheme or the two-handed "Dual Wield" system. New to the series? You can pause the game anytime by hitting the timeline, then review the detailed "Controls" guide. Also, watch for helpful hints within scrolls and books scattered throughout the world.
Switch control between team members instantly by tapping their health bar or pointing directly at them on the battlefield. Use the on-screen arrows to enter "Commander" mode: step back and direct any ally by swiping from their position to a target. Whether you order a move, an attack, or to grab an item, they'll interpret your command—though they'll act based on their own priorities and timing.
Regardless of your device or control style, you can always pinch at the center of the screen to zoom in or out.
MAP
In the main "Campaign" mode, expand your territory by moving units between connected regions. Choose to "fortify" a held area or launch an attack on a rival's land. Remember, only half of the units in a territory can travel, making offense more challenging than defense.
Inhabited territories grow in population each round, so controlling more land is key. Note that units also heal gradually over time, encouraging you to strategically rotate your focus across different fronts.
PERFORMANCE
Please be advised: this is the most ambitious game I've created and may demand a high-end device for optimal performance. To improve framerates, try lowering the "Population" cap to reduce on-screen characters or adjust settings in the "Display" menu.
