Anime Vanguards' Winter Update 3.0: A Festive Overhaul

Developer Kitawari has unleashed Anime Vanguards Winter Update 3.0, a significant update bringing substantial changes to the tower defense game. This update introduces a revamped lobby, a host of new units, exciting game modes, and numerous quality-of-life improvements designed to keep players engaged throughout the winter season.

The most striking change is the completely redesigned lobby, offering a much more spacious and visually appealing environment for players. This overhaul also includes a remastered UI, particularly a cleaner and more intuitive stage selection interface. As Kitawari explains in the patch notes, the previous lobby was too cramped, prompting the creation of a significantly improved space. The new lobby even features a customizable day/night cycle, accessible through the in-game settings.

Key additions in Winter Update 3.0 include:

• New Game Modes: "Portals," a new game mode with unique mechanics and tiered rewards, encourages players to utilize winter units and skins for increased team damage and bonus rewards. "Sandbox Mode" allows for unrestricted experimentation with strategies and unit combinations.

• 12 New Units: Twelve new units are available across a new Winter Banner, the Portals game mode, the battle pass, and leaderboard rewards. Specific units are detailed in the patch notes below.

• Quality-of-Life Improvements: Numerous improvements enhance gameplay, including smoother unit placement, improved UI search functionality for skins and familiars, clearer unit targeting indicators, and the relocation of Evolution Quests to a dedicated tab.

• 12 New Units: Distributed across a Winter Banner, Portals, Battle Pass, and Leaderboard Rewards (see detailed list below).

• New Game Mode: Portals: Features unique mechanics, tiered rewards, elemental interactions, and rewards including 3 new familiars (Doggo, Sebamon, Padoru), secret portal units, winter currency, and gift boxes. Using winter units and skins enhances rewards.
