Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Assassin's Creed Shadows, showcasing the key enhancements coming to the PC version. The footage highlights support for advanced upscaling, ultra-wide displays, real-time global illumination (RTGI), ray-traced reflections, and a wide array of settings optimized for less powerful gaming rigs.

At launch, the PC edition will feature compatibility with DLSS 3.7, FSR 3.1, and XeSS 2. A built-in benchmarking utility will also be included for performance evaluation, alongside full support for ultra-wide monitor aspect ratios.

To run the game at 1080p and 30 FPS, the minimum specs call for an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, teamed with an NVIDIA GTX 1070 (8 GB) or AMD RX 5700 (8 GB) graphics card. For a 4K experience at 60 FPS with ultra settings and high-end ray tracing enabled, you'll need an Intel Core i7-13700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor and an RTX 4090 (24 GB) GPU.

The development team collaborated with Intel on Assassin's Creed Shadows, ensuring deep optimization for their CPUs. Performance on AMD-based systems will be evaluated after the game is out. The community is keen to see if this installment avoids the performance stutters that plagued some earlier games in the franchise. Mirage, for instance, demonstrated a notable improvement in smoothness over its predecessors like Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla.
Assassin's Creed Shadows launches on March 20 for PC and consoles.
