Get ready, Pokémon Go trainers! February's Community Day is bringing double the fun with Karrablast and Shelmet taking center stage. Mark your calendars: the event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on February 9th, 2025.

Pokémon Go February Community Day Stars: Karrablast and Shelmet

Prepare for a flurry of Karrablast and Shelmet encounters! These two Pokémon will be appearing much more frequently in the wild, increasing your chances of catching them—and maybe even their shiny variants!

The real excitement lies in their evolutions. Evolve Karrablast anytime between the event start and 10:00 p.m. local time on February 16th to obtain an Escavalier knowing the powerful Charged Attack, Razor Shell (35 power in Trainer Battles, 55 power in Gyms and Raids). Similarly, evolving Shelmet during this period grants you an Accelgor with the equally impressive Energy Ball (90 power in all battle types).

This Community Day also features a Special Research questline rewarding encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet boasting special Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds, a Premium Battle Pass, and a Rare Candy XL.

A Timed Research event extends the fun for a whole week after the main event. Log in during Community Day to unlock tasks leading to more encounters with these special-background Karrablast and Shelmet.
