Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero May Hit Nintendo Switch 2

Dec 19,25

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has received a rating for the Nintendo Switch 2, even though there hasn't been an official announcement confirming the fighting game's release on the new console.

While it's still unconfirmed whether the game, based on Akira Toriyama's beloved anime and manga series, will launch on the Switch 2, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation—discovered by the Gaming Leaks and Rumors subreddit—indicates otherwise.

"Immerse yourself in the latest fighting action of Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 with dynamic 3D battles and storylines that evolve based on your decisions," the tweet stated before being removed, confirming the game received a 12+ rating.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the classic Budokai Tenkaichi gameplay to new heights, featuring an impressive roster of playable characters, each with unique abilities, transformations, and signature moves.

In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review we scored it 7/10, noting: "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero delivers a nostalgic final flash, sometimes to its detriment, yet recaptures the charm of a simpler era when games didn’t need perfect balance or competitiveness to be enjoyable."

Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders became available on April 24, with the price holding steady at $449.99—and the response was exactly as expected. The same day, Nintendo cautioned U.S. customers who pre-ordered the Switch 2 through the My Nintendo Store, advising that release date delivery was not assured due to overwhelming demand.
