Moving away from their proprietary Liquid Engine, which powered the first game, 11 bit Studios is embracing the capabilities of Unreal Engine. Having already utilized Unreal Engine 5 for Frostpunk 2, the developers recognized the potential to enhance the original Frostpunk significantly.
