The AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D stands as the best gaming processor for most users. While the 9900X3D might show slightly higher benchmark results in tests like Passmark, real-world gaming performance is almost identical—and it costs $120 more. For gamers, the 9800X3D clearly offers superior value. It boasts a maximum boost clock of 5.2GHz, 8 cores, 16 threads, and 104MB of combined L2 and L3 cache.
