Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy - All Power Cells in Precursor Basin
Mastering the Zoomer in Jak and Daxter: Precursor Basin – A Comprehensive Guide
Precursor Basin, following Fire Canyon, presents a seemingly less perilous, yet arguably more challenging, vehicle-based level in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. This guide details how to conquer its demanding objectives, essential for trophy hunters.
Herding Moles: A Simple Start
Begin by gently nudging the errant moles with your Zoomer, guiding them back to their burrows. Utilize the Zoomer's hop for sharp turns, maintaining pursuit until four moles are safely home. This earns you a Power Cell from the Geologist in Rock Village.
Catching Flying Lurkers
These elusive creatures require a more aggressive approach. Intercept their flight paths, particularly at turns (refer to the in-game images), to successfully ram and capture them. The final Lurker yields another Power Cell.
Conquering the Gorge Race
The Gambler's challenge demands a sub-45-second Gorge race completion. Mastering this requires strategic use of the Zoomer's capabilities. Utilize Lurkers for aerial boosts, navigate precisely between pillars to collect speed-boosting Blue Eco, and skillfully avoid Dark Eco Crates. A sub-40-second run earns a trophy.
Securing the Lake Power Cell
Starting from the slope (image 1), carefully navigate the course, utilizing hops to bridge gaps between islands (images 2-5). Maintain top speed for the final jump to the Precursor Orb.
Healing Infected Plants
Use Green Eco to charge your Zoomer and quickly drive over the purple plants to cure them before they regenerate. Efficient use of hops and Green Eco refills is key.
Navigating the Purple Rings
This ring challenge, while easier than the blue rings, requires precise timing and execution. Note the aerial ring off the natural bridge; a timely hop is crucial.
Navigating the Blue Rings
The blue rings present a significantly greater challenge. Mastering the course requires precise maneuvering around pillars, utilizing rock bounces for aerial rings, and careful navigation of narrow paths.
Remember to avoid the Zoomer Trans-pad to prevent premature course termination.
Freeing the Scout Flies
Locate and collect all seven Scout Flies scattered throughout Precursor Basin for a final Power Cell reward. Their locations are detailed above. By completing all these objectives, you'll fully conquer Precursor Basin.
