Krafton's highly anticipated life simulator, inZOI, gets a new release date: March 28, 2025. This delay, announced by director Hyungjin "Kjun" Kim on the game's Discord server, prioritizes building a stronger foundation for a more polished gaming experience.

The decision, partly fueled by positive player feedback from character creator demos and playtests, reflects Krafton's commitment to delivering a complete and satisfying game. Kjun likened the extended development process to raising a child, emphasizing the time needed to nurture the game to its full potential.

"After reviewing your feedback from inZOI… we have made our decision to release inZOI in Early Access on March 28, 2025," stated Kjun. "We apologize that we could not bring you the game sooner, but this decision reflects our commitment to giving inZOI the best possible start."

While delays can be frustrating, Krafton's dedication is underscored by the success of inZOI's character creator demo, which saw a peak of 18,657 concurrent players in under a week before its removal from Steam on August 25, 2024.

Originally announced in Korea in 2023, inZOI is poised to challenge The Sims with its advanced customization and realistic visuals. This strategic delay aims to avoid releasing an unfinished product, learning from the cancellation of Life By You earlier this year. However, this also places inZOI in direct competition with Paralives, another life simulator slated for a 2025 release.
