Monster Train Arrives on Android, Similar to Slay the Spire

Dec 10,25

Monster Train brings its acclaimed roguelite deck-building experience to Android. Originally launched for PC in 2020, it later expanded to consoles and iOS in 2022, now arriving on Android platforms. Given its genre and deep strategic gameplay, it often draws comparisons to Slay the Spire.

What Does Monster Train Bring to Android?

Set aboard a colossal train venturing into the frozen depths of hell, your mission is to defend the last remaining pyre from celestial invaders.

Monster Train stands apart with its unique three-lane vertical combat system. Rather than battling on a single plane, you strategically manage enemies across three simultaneous lanes.

As you progress, you'll unlock more than 250 cards spanning five distinct monster clans. Each clan features unique playstyles, and you can combine any two for diverse strategies.

Every clan offers ten upgrade tiers, unlocking more powerful cards as you advance. Champions serve as your key units and can be enhanced multiple times.

The Android edition includes all previous content updates—Wild Mutations and Friends & Foes. Wild Mutations introduces 35 new mutators and additional difficulty options, while Friends & Foes expands the game with fresh champions, bosses, cards, and artifacts.

The Last Divinity DLC significantly boosts replayability by adding the Wurmkin clan, accessible after completing Covenant level 1. Its Pact Shards system grants special powers while presenting the formidable final boss, The Last Divinity.

Will You Try It Out?

The Android version supports complete offline play, even during flights. The full game is available for $10. While in-app purchases exist, they primarily serve to unlock the complete experience. Once purchased through your Google account, access transfers seamlessly across devices.

Cloud save functionality ensures your progress remains secure when changing phones. Note that controller support isn't currently available. Explore Monster Train today on the Google Play Store.
