In a recent interview, Mizobe highlighted the significant technical hurdles in porting Palworld's demanding PC specifications to the Nintendo Switch. While discussions about new platforms are ongoing, no announcements regarding a Switch release are imminent.

Despite the challenges, Mizobe remains optimistic about expanding Palworld's reach. He previously acknowledged the considerable difference in system requirements between the PC and Switch versions.

The possibility of Palworld arriving on PlayStation, other consoles, or mobile devices remains unconfirmed. Earlier this year, Mizobe confirmed explorations into bringing the game to additional platforms. He also clarified that while Pocketpair is open to partnerships and acquisitions, they haven't engaged in buyout discussions with Microsoft.

Beyond platform considerations, Mizobe expressed his vision for enhanced multiplayer elements. The upcoming arena mode, described as an experiment, is a step towards more robust multiplayer experiences. His ultimate goal is a fully-fledged PvP mode, drawing inspiration from the popular survival games Ark and Rust, known for their challenging environments, intricate resource management, and extensive player interaction features.

Palworld, Pocketpair's unique blend of creature collection and survival shooter gameplay, has enjoyed significant success since its launch. Its first-month PC sales reached 15 million copies, and it also attracted 10 million players on Xbox via Game Pass. A major update, the free Sakurajima update, is scheduled for release on Thursday, introducing a new island, the highly-anticipated PvP arena, and more.
