Star Wars Celebration has revealed our first glimpse of Rory McCann as Baylan Skoll in Ahsoka Season 2. For those unaware, McCann steps into the role following Ray Stevenson's passing.

Though we haven't seen McCann's performance yet, the Ahsoka panel showcased an exclusive image (see below) that offers a tantalizing preview.

Stevenson—celebrated for his roles in Thor, RRR, Punisher: War Zone, and Rome—passed away just three months before Ahsoka's debut after battling a brief illness. Many fans consider his portrayal of Baylan to be the standout performance of the series thus far.

Series creator Dave Filoni reflected on the challenge of moving forward without Ray, describing him as "remarkable both on and offscreen—someone who truly elevated every scene."

Filoni and the production team also teased what’s in store for Season 2, including Hayden Christensen's return as Anakin Skywalker alongside fan favorites like Admiral Ackbar, Zeb, and Chopper.

Our review of Season 1 highlighted its initial pacing issues—while early episodes worked to reintroduce animated-series concepts, the show truly soared once it embraced its cosmic lore, balancing humor, grand battles, and fresh storytelling that honored Star Wars tradition.
