Torchlight: Infinite initially hinted at its next chapter a few weeks ago, and now full details have been revealed. The upcoming season, Sandlord, arrives on April 17 and represents a substantial evolution. Featuring floating cities, economic strategy, and real-world rewards, season eight delivers a significant wave of fresh content to the ARPG.

In Torchlight: Infinite's eighth season, you're not just battling monsters—you're constructing a skybound empire. The new Sandlord system introduces the Cloud Oasis, where you'll trade resources, assign workers, and oversee production lines to develop your personal aerial fortress.

Thea makes a return this season with a major change. Her new Blasphemer trait replaces her divine abilities with a curse called Desecration. It begins modestly but scales powerfully, increasing Erosion damage based on her remaining blessing power. Players can enhance this further for area-of-effect explosions or health-scaling effects, making it ideal for enthusiasts of damage-over-time mechanics and synergistic builds.

Endgame content is also receiving substantial improvements. Deep Space has been redesigned with five new stages, expanded maps, and more formidable adversaries. A new Probes system lets players adjust risk and reward, with each probe increasing difficulty while potentially yielding better loot—including Compass chests via the Compass Probe.

This update also brings a Blending System for belt crafting, enabling Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes to merge into a single item slot for more sophisticated build possibilities. Additionally, a new boss named Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume joins Plane Watcher and the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown.

Complementing these updates is the Sands of Fortune anniversary event, active from April 17 to May 1. Complete tasks, earn Gold Rush Attempts, and have a chance to win from a $250,000 prize pool.
