Pokémon NO LIMIT! Summer Splash Parade Hits USJ
Use 'Water Gun' in Real Life
The Pokémon Company and Universal Studios Japan are elevating their successful partnership with the NO LIMIT! Summer Splash Parade. This event builds on the original NO LIMIT! Parade but introduces a refreshing water-focused theme, perfect for beating the summer heat.
Their collaboration, which started in 2021, aims to create a "creative alliance" focused on developing new interactive entertainment that blends innovative technology with extraordinary creativity. The NO LIMIT! Parade was the first significant outcome of this partnership, featuring floats showcasing beloved Pokémon characters like Charizard and Pikachu in a grand procession. This year, the parade has evolved into a fully immersive water experience.
The Pokémon Company has emphasized their commitment to making the featured Pokémon as "true-to-life" as possible. For instance, the debut of Gyarados at USJ involves three performers synchronizing their movements to mimic a dragon dance, capturing the Pokémon’s fierce nature.
The parade not only promises to drench guests with water but also features cherished characters from Super Mario, Despicable Me, Sesame Street, Peanuts, and Sing, adding to the excitement.
Guests are not just passive onlookers; they're encouraged to participate actively in the fun. On hot days, they can head to the "360° Soak Zone," where they can engage in a playful water battle with family, friends, and parade performers. While personal water guns are not allowed, guests entering this special zone receive a complimentary Water Shooter.
Beyond the parade, visitors can further immerse themselves in the Pokémon universe with exclusive merchandise and themed food offerings. A highlight on the menu is the "Gyarados Whirling Smoothie – Soda & Pineapple," served in cups featuring the Park’s largest sleeve ever, adorned with a striking image of Gyarados. The theme park also offers other food and drinks tailored for the summer season.
The NO LIMIT! Summer Splash Parade kicked off on July 3 and will continue until September 1. The 360° Soak Zone, however, is available only until August 22. Whether it's your first visit or a return trip, The Pokémon Company promises that every visit will be "amazingly exciting, deeply moving, and always memorable."
