In the world of mecha entertainment, Japan remains the undisputed pioneer of the genre. The country has even developed two distinct storytelling traditions: real robot and super robot. Now, My.Games' War Robots is partnering with veteran mechanical designer Kunio Okawara to introduce an exclusive in-game creation.

Okawara is best known for designing the iconic Gundam alongside writer Yoshiyuki Tomino. This legendary real robot design has appeared across countless series and even made cameos in major Hollywood productions like Ready Player One.

Pilots will soon command Kunio Okawara's original design, the SWORD Unit 190, developed in-game by the DSC Corporation. The designer also created complementary drone and plasma gun loadouts for complete customization.

The new SWORD unit will become available during the MECHA Raider S.W.O.R.D event running from May 20th to June 1st. This limited-time celebration pays homage to classic real robot aesthetics and gameplay.

While Okawara's legacy speaks for itself, even newcomers will appreciate how this vibrant mechanical design enhances their battlefield arsenal.
